Leicester School of Business - Virtual Campus
Scene Development
3D modelled from scratch, this project features one of the most architecturally intricate buildings I've ever created with CGI. Rarely do I get the opportunity to visit the site of a soon-to-be virtual project, but in this case I did. This allowed me to take as much high-quality reference imagery as I needed to ensure a smooth and swift design process. With such a short deadline for the exterior, I decided to make some compromises on the characteristics of the building to include, while working to a fixed camera perspective, which was signed-off separately before work began. This ensured I would only model & detail what would be seen while maintaining quality and polish.
The interior spaces were re-imagined as a more open and inviting space, while still respecting the overall character and feel of the real interior. This was done to better suit the purposes of the project and aid navigation for users on a web-based application.
